How does disease spread?
Overview: U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Well orgainsed, easy to navigate and highly informative. The website includes infectious diseases and posts fact sheets and newsletters.


Overview: The World Health Organization posts fact sheets at its website, covering communicable/infectious diseases, tropical diseases, vaccine preventable diseases, and many other health topics.

Overview: The website created by the Nemours Foundation and has information on dozens of infections.





How do infections lead to illness?
Overview:  Explains antibiotics and immunization, how infection occurs and spreads and some treatments.

Overview: Features ground breaking medical breakthroughs.  Should only be used to provide a brief glimpse into where medicine is heading.
